i read that some of you guys uses garlic in water or gives your birds whole garlic..what does garlic do? does it kill bacteria in the birds or in the water? and what are some convient item your guys use so your birds are healthy..

The use of Garlic and it's effectiveness has always been a bit of a mystery rollinfever, one thing I have used it for and found it to be very effective with is warding off nasties in the feed bins. Just peel one or two whole cloves and place them in the bottom of the bin before filling it with feed. The aroma that fills your feed bin will deter any incests and mites from infesting it. A bit of Garlic oil mixed in to the feed when feeding your birds is good for their plumage too.

Garlic is something I use for years it will detoxify neutralize or eliminate noxious sustance from the body.it inhibits the growth or kills about 2 dozen bacteria including staphylococcus and salmonella and about 60 types of fungus and yeast bacteria.and the chemical responsible for this is Allicin.when a clove of garlic is crush Allicin is form by the action of the enzyine on a pre-existence chemical known as Allin..I give it to my pigeons 2 or 3 times a week than skip one week and give ACV then plain water for a while..

Respiratory system...racing homer fanciers use it extensively...I have started using it on my feed and in my water for my rollers also. When the wattle is snow white..most bodily functions are a GO !! Garlic is a fantastic natural substance for man and beast. Try it in your comp. team for 2 weeks and watch the difference...very very cheap...crush up cloves and leave in the drinking fountain or put it in the feed via oil.

I always thought it was for the circulatory system. It cure Samonella issues also.
