---I recently seen an add taken from eggbid auction site here on the forum, what can anyone tell me about their experience or take likes or dis-likes on the auction pages other then the owner doesn't return e-mails.-------

I have bought birds off the Eggbid site in the past. Luckily, my experiences have been good. There are some good birds sold there and of course alot of garbage. There are a few big name breeders that occasionally sell birds on the site, Rick Mee. Like any other internet site, you might get what is advertised or you might not get anything at all.

my experience is good too...But beware what they had to say about the birds...If the birds are too good to be true why selling or auction it...And also beware of the roller pigeon that is selling in there...I noticed some fraud seller selling young birds and already claimed that it did 30ft...Just watch out for it...Gl

Eggbid has a new site up now (moderated) does anyone know if the old site is closing down?
The shipping costs from USPS has just about killed the profits for selling.

Speaking of shipping,
I wonder why it costs 20 bux more to ship from Dallas to Amarillo than Amarillo to Mesa Arizona.
I was baffled by that one.

$56.05 to buy a box and mail to shipper.
$83.80 for shipping, from PA. to NC.

Total = $139.85 for box, and S/H to obtain
10 FREE birds.

{ OUCH }

Free birds are not FREE!!

If the destination is deliverable by truck, birds can go Priority not Express. I encourage you guys to ask these questions and challenge to speak with the Postmaster if the clerks say no. If you can drive it in less than 8 hours, then so can they. Saves a TON in shipping costs. I'm not positive, but there may be some lenience on the box requirement (in some instances). Probably depends on what your relationship is with your local Post Office.

Thought this might help some folks.

Thanks,
Eric
