I had a great weekend hanging out with alot of my roller friends and thought I would share some of it with you guys. Region 2A has not flown in quite some time but we were able to gain enough entries to have our first qualfier. We started off in Florida Friday morning flying Don Bowen. We saw some great birds in action and got to see alot of his breeders. Don had a very unusual overfly on Wednesday and lost half of his kit but still managed to field a nice kit with some youngsters added. Don and his wife were great host and treated us to a all you could eat buffet with some awesome fried catfish. LOL We started off Saturday by flying my kits and I was very pleased with there performance even though a poor handling error on my part cost me about 7 min of poor kitting all together on my A kit and even worse on my B kit. We were able to go and visit two of the legends of the hobby James Turner and Don Greene and had a great visit. I asked James a couple of stupid question which you guys will think is funny. I asked 'looking at a milky hen' what is this ? His response was, It's a pigeon. Followed by what would you breed her to ? His response. A cock.Everyone had a good laugh. We started out Sunday morning flying Mr. Don Simpson who put up two incredible kits but fell a few min's short on time.We then went to Anthony Ashley's and flew his birds and he had a very nice kit also. Don and Anthony carried us to a local Mexican Restraunt which had the largest burrito I have ever seen called the El Titanic. Wendell Carter made claim to be able to sink the Titanic but fell short, LOL The thing was the size of a loaf of bread ! I think Cliff ate more than Wendell LOL. My wife and I decided to head back to Georgia so we missed getting to meet the last two flyers in Gafne but we will be sure to allow enough time for next year. I want to thank Mr. "Tite and Rite" Wendell Carter for dedicating his weekend to judging for us, Tite and Rite is what he said everytime a bird was hitting on all 8 cylinders, and I also want to thank Cliff Ball for scribing for Wendell all weekend. It was a blast !

We had a great time, Ty. Thanks for the hospitality....and congratulations on qualifying as 11-bird finalist two years in a row, once from Region 1D and once from Region 2A. It will be good to see you and Scott Campbell get to meet each other! LOL!

Good job, also, with getting out to meet some of the other flyers in your region. That will pay big dividends as you attempt to keep your "new" region up and running. And thanks for the call ducks...they are enjoying their new pond, and my daughter, Skylar, loves them.

George I probably should just ignore you but I will bite as I fill I have to now. This type of behavior will be the reason you don't have a snowballs chance in hell at VP. 6 flyers 11 kits and the scores will be posted on the NBRC website. The best I can remeber was 1st place was 112 pts 2nd place 87 pts 3rd place 54 pts 4th place 11 pts. FYI Wendell Carter who is a very well respected and seasoned judge was our prelim Judge. Now when you wish to apologize I will listen.

Ty what are you talking about ? I simply asked what were the Scores and who was there and witnessed the Fly .

Dont worry about me winning the V.P. I know that Guil Rand or Paul Fullerton will do a good Job if either one of them is elected over me.

Ty and I wish you all the Luck in the Finals

No hit and Run I am here in a discussion with you .

The questions I ask are legit questions so I dont think I have violated any posting policy , unless there is a policy against asking a truthfull question .

Mr. Ruiz I did not fall off of the turnip truck last week. Sounds like to me you are trying to start a conflict not a discussion. I don't guess you have ever mismanaged a kit of birds. We do it all the time in Region 2A. Sorry to disappoint.

If you have a problem with Cliff you need to consult with him privately, instead of airing it on this board. At least that would be the civilized thing to do.

yes I have mismanaged several kits in the past and I am sure that I will also mismanage some more kits in the future .
that is not what we are discussing here, I simply asked a few questions and it seems like it upset Ty and you . I also congradulated him on a job well done and wished him luck in the Finals. I just dont know how any of that can be offensive, i thought we were discussing the Fly in region 2 that Wendall Carter judged and Cliff was the scribe.

ohh and dont forget I also went out on a limb and predicted that Cliff would qualify in the 20 Bird. If I am correct Don Simpson is the judge for that fly Right? .
Well anyway I guess you guys have to much anger towards me to carry on a discussion so I will leave at that.

"every Time Cliff is involved in a fly some amazing things happen"

You're right, George. Amazing things happen....regions that have not been flown for 10 years begin to take part in our competitions again....new flyers come on board....we visit veterans and old-timers in the hobby who have been forgotten by some.....we swap good rollers with each other....we laugh and we have an all around great time together....pretty amazing stuff.

Thanks for your confidence in my A-team, but I lost a couple good ones to BOP and pulled some other good ones for the stock loft and the kit chemistry is all screwed up. We'll see, though. All I can do is hope for better weather than we had for the 11-bird fly. Some of us flew in the rain with a 100-ft. ceiling. I still managed second place behind Jay Yandle. Pretty amazing, huh?!

Congrats on the fly....Ty...I totally understand about shit happening...My A-team...worked its ass off but two birds were out....a bird bumped (never had before)...and pulled from the team...then a lavender hit a REAL DEEP roll and popped out next to the Black below the kit...and they stayed together the whole time....my bad on the lavender....I missed him...he had two flights in blood and was looking for an excuse to pull away from the kit..and it did!!! Sometimes shit happens...after you know your fly is over....you never quit watching the rest of the kit...and the 18 birds remaining were Rock;'n and Roll'n////Joe said he was going to continue to score on a side note...but did not want to make me sick...lOL...that is what flying is all about.....

All I have to say...is Thank god for the B-team...rock and Roll

I had two out for 7 minutes. One hit, got back up then circled at 50 feet. He pulled another knucklehead with him.
Still scored 141 in 13 breaks. The killer was the 12 bird break 15 seconds after time expired.
Good job Ty.
How ya doon Pirate Paul!
