Does anyone think that flying birds in an indoor stadium would work? I looked at a few and they measure 225-390 ft at the tallest point. Just wondering

would they let you? most likely not. If you knew that ur birds would perform the same way and would never lose a bird again. Would you pay to be able to use an indoor arena/stadium. IF so how much would it be worth to you. DISCLAIMER: This situation to my knowledge does not really exist.

Lol I always thought about flying in a really large airplane hanger. Like maybe they will do something like that in the future if BOP become a severe issue. Or a really really large netted area. You never know

Lets breed some tiny rollers the size of Budgies and fly them in the living room. :)

As funny as this subject sounds, it would be interesting to try. If you could train a mobile kit to fly at the right height and if you could find a facility that would be willing to let you fly on a regular basis, you could fly in a BOP free environment with excellent weather conditions. I believe you would end up with low flying, short rolling kits and the focus would be on the big breaks. Tracey

could you imagine a group of roller clubs gets together and rents out an arena, and we bring our mobile trained kits to compete during the winter? how cool would that be. and, you and your birds would be nice and toasty, while the winter winds could be screaming outside with the sky sharks starving! i flew portable back in the day, and i'm sure with those new little portable boxes, you could fly a 5 or 6 birds no problem. so maybe its not so crazy afterall. this would depend on these arenas having open dates. and that they wouldn't mind a bit of poop on the seats! geez, we really need to get a life. ;-) ---------- Steve in Blue Point, NY

Steve49,
Thats actually what I was kind of going for, very futuristic if you ask me. But some of those stadiums are really tall. I would be feasible in that aspect. but I was thinking to try and just get the birds trained in an areana first to give them at fighting chance. cause i try to fly at different locations and cant even get the birds up without getting hit

the logistics of training a small kit is not really hard. the small portable loft one person can carry would work really nice. does anyone have one of these arenas near them where they could ask about this? i would think they'd want to be paid, and that remains to be seen how much. if guys will drive to a show, think how cool it would be to drive to an arena to FLY your birds inside! l love the idea. how many of these arenas are there? and where are they located? if they have dog shows or horse shows, surely a pigeon show/fly would be possible. however, the arenas probably count on gate revenue for every event, and would the public pay to come inside to see this? i just can't see how they would be interested unless they're making some money. ---------- Steve in Blue Point, NY
