I Had a bird that did the same thing this past summer, what I did was pop it with a needle & drained out the air, it is just air build up. Use rubbing alcohol, Did this a dozen times until I just finally left it alone and it went away on is own, the bird looked uncomfortable for awhile and had trouble getting up to the water but it came out of it and today I can't tell that there was anything wrong with it at all, it is a break in the air sac just under the skin and needs to heal up, took about 2 weeks. Caused by bumping when it flew out of the nest to the floor hitting it's chest hard. ---------- Lew

the bird is young.like 4-5months old. the problem wasd that i had it in a cage and i left it and when i came back there was a cooper trying to get in its cage but it couldnt so it was fluttering around like crazy it may have rupture the throat area causing this to happen. i have used a needle and popped iot 3 times already but when i go back to check on it the air comes back. the bird isnt eating.this might just kill this fella..
