I am very intrigued with the information...
I am confused with the epistemic gene as I have never heard of that. I thought I had a decent background in genetics but that one caught me.
what is the definition and who coined the "phrase" or is it well known. A modified gene that covers up or suppresses expression of itself?

What is your definition of a pure roller, how many generations constitutes it as one?

The term is "epistatic" not "epistemic", although his description of the action of the gene is correct.

Recessive red mottles/spangles are not tiger grizzle or regular grizzle, they may be another type of grizzle which is specific to, and expresses only, on a recessive red/yellow base.
