Just got to thinking after reading lots of posts. Would it be possible for the posters to throw in a period, or a "...", or a comma from time to time. I get to reading some of these posts and have a hard time trying to make sense of what I just read. I see paragraphs without a period and do not know where one thought ends and another begins. It might just be me, because plenty of others respond straight away, seemingly, without hesitation. I am in no way a grammar freak, but I reread and edit my posts several times before I am satisfied. I want people to just read and not get caught up.

It's the language of feathers and dust! :) We are multi lingual, multi national but function as one! Rocky you are finest kind and need not apologise to anyone. I worry to excess about being perceived as illiterate but it's the content not the sentence structure. I'm just a backwoods country boy trying to get along in a world were I'm constantly in over my head. It's funny but I would wager that over a beer and a barbie, language and sentence structure would not matter in the least. :)

Well its not like its just one person. Thats why I thought the readers/posters could handle it. I thought it was a rush job thing, which that may not be the case. I was just saying, rereading may help oneself catch a mistake they made, which everyone benefits. No WW III on my watch.
But everyone has great things to say, and I dont want anyone to think this bad seed "me" is messing up people for posting.
This post has been edited four times because Im a bloody mess with typing and getting my words out, but im trying hard.

i don't think pinwheel said anything wrong, afterall, he's entitled to his opinion. Plus, he's pointing out something that should benefit everyone, and that's a good thing. no one is above contructive criticism, so we all should consider pinwheel's advice, which was certainly meant to make this a better place. ---------- Steve in Blue Point, NY

Hi Thom, first of all how are things?
Your right Thom, Rocky is one of the finest kinds, yes he lacks in education but he will give his heart and soul to people in need. But on the other side when it comes to smart arses he will turf them to the side and feels like squashing them.
I totally agree with you Pinwhell it would make it easier if there were a few commons etc but we have to understand that not all people are the same and not all of us have had a good education.
But who cares, as long as we get our point across this is all that matters.
Nick Siders don't attack those that are unfortunate enough to have a education. If you can read what they are trying to say them put up with it, don't critise. Rocky has done more to help people than any educated person has, believe me as I have been on the receiving end of his generousity.
Have a good day. The kangaroo's are hopping! :)

Hey...get used to my...........sorry but I use dots in forums because I change my thoughts so much in answering questions that I kind of bounce all over the board and never really set up a paragraph...LOL...but..if you want me to write you a letter it will be with commas and paragraphs with an opening sentence...a body and a closing sentence....LOL...when I do my fire reports I don't use the .........either...LOL....anyway...get used to it...

Hey Ralph, I'm just fine! :) We are a diverse family merging from all parts of the globe! Ain't it grand! Cheers Mate :)
Paul, when I first come on the board, I said to Val, "you will get used to me" as I tend to say things a little askew sometimes. Point is, with our individual faults, this is the best site of all, simply because we care for each other.

The only things I would say is that I see dozens of posts that have got the wrong end of the stick becauase sometimes both sides cannot understand what the other is saying (it happens even more so with text speak).I didn't get any certificates either, so I sometimes post a message then have to edit it later to take the spelling mistakes out. It's ok saying get used to it, but if you don't know what the hell the other guys is saying it kinda defeats the point of a forum, but I don't see any posters on this forum that I can't understand with a quick re-read. If we all try to make ourselves understood we can't ask any more of each other. I don't like to see anyone critisised because of there lack of education, but I don't think that being abusive to anyone because you feel defensive about it is acceptable either. Staying at home instead of going to school is no excuse for not learning good manners. Nobody mentioned your name Rocky but you came out swinging, your reply to Nick was offensive and the only one stirring up trouble with inflamitory language is you as far as I can see, but what's new? Leaving School under 15 years was not an option where I came from, but even though I stayed on till 15 I don't think they taught us much more once we got to age 11 lol. Like Nick asked how old are you? If you are over 20 it's probably time you stopped blaming your mum for your problems. Bless Pete.

Nick is and has been, a part of the woodwork here for years, he is not going anywhere as far as I am concerned. He has earned both my respect and appreciation. He has literally supported this site with his time and money. He has paid his dues here far more than most. Period Thanks Nick! ---------- FLY ON! Tony Chavarria

There are many who for one reason or another did not have much formal education, but took it upon themselves to learn the basics of communicating and proper social decorum. Once a person reaches the adult stag of their lives it is time to educate themselves on ways of the world. The smartest and most educated man I knew only had a seventh grade education. He self taught himself by reading and study.
That is all I was trying to convey. I was not ridiculing anyone for their lack of formal education. ---------- Just My Take On Things

Rocket science isn`t required, but capitalization at the beginning of a sentance,a period at the end,and a little proofreading would be nice. It would be easier reading for the most part. Self improvement also improves self esteem. Self esteem normally encourages self improvement. I don't see anything wrong with what pinwheel is saying ..all he ask for is a simple period or comma..not asking to write and spell propertly or anything just periods and comma's.... if you don't have one Paul has plenty you can borrow from ...lol.. now spelling you can get that right there in your computer ..spell check...hey sometime I have to yell out to the wife how you spell this or is this spell right..if I'm lazy to look it up..:)---------- Ralph. One here Joe, but that was before we had to do tests on spelling and grammer. The fact is I am alot of years out of 5th grade , and I never was all that good at spelling, grammer or English class, oh well.
