December 12, 2009 Saturday.
Flying Rollers being judged by yours truly. Lots of breeds; lots of birds; lots of fun! There will probably be a Parlor Roller competition. Had some birds do better than 200 feet last year.
The Oklahoma Performing Roller Association is sponsoring the Flying Roller part of the show. Good people!

Probably won't be bringing my parlors this year. Be lucky to even make the show. My son is having a 2 day team duals (wrestling tourn) this weekend. Luckily it just happens to be at Shawnee also! I'll get there "if" theres time.

Nick,
I am new to this site but am in the process of getting back into rollers after mnay years. I had seen that this show was coming up this Saturday and was planning on coming up there. Can you tell me what time the judging is planned?

Thank you, I am not looking to get any birds at this time, just make some contacts. I am in the process of moving outside of town so I can put a loft up.

Hello John,
I will arrive at 0800 and the judging for Flying Rollers I believe begins at 0900. There are other judging events going on most of the day with all other breeds.
Look me up and introduce yourself.
It seems like I know you; like I know a John Kelly. Texas, maybe?

If you are interested in chickens; the other half of the huge building will have a chicken show going on. There are lots of activities. You and your family can spend a good part of the day there. There are gifts and crafts; supplies; feeds; and some goofy people to have fun with (ain't we all goofy?)LOL

Welcome John, haven't seen the flyer, but the show usually starts at 9 am and the judging usually starts at the same time or very soon after.

Jim Bowen called me the other night to see if I was interested in driving down to the show with him. Unfortunately, I had knee surgery last week and can't travel very far yet. Don't be surprised if Jim shows up.

Scott,I will have my Honda Element on display(LOL) for all to view. Joe, Ol' Jim ought to be coming; he is retired and needs to find something to do(LOL) Take care of that old body, it is the only one you will get. John, I will see ya there probably about noon-ish?

Yes, had the one that even went up the hill and hit the fence. I have a few YBs this year but havn't worked them at all. Seldom see daylight in my backyard these days to get anything done. Man, time slipped up on me this year. Having to divide my time on Sat. between the wrestling tourn and the show, I probably wont even bring them. Talked to Jeff and he doesn't have any parlors ready either.

Val, maybe you can just get down on the floor yourself and try and beat your own accomplishment from last year, all you have to do is 201 feet. LOL. That would be a good show! LOL... Just kidding... Hope you guys have a great time! Peace!

Thats the one Joe, it also has a "Obama" sticker in the middle of the back window. Everytime he went into a StarBucks for a "Latte Mocha" I would try to peel that puppy off, I think it's etched in though.

Man I miss the wrestling tournaments...but I have a 10 year old coming up!! and hell my room mate is the UC Davis Assistant wrestling coach..so wrestling talk is on the menu most of the time..UCD wrestles Oklahoma State on Saturday at UC Davis....who know..last year UCD beat Northwestern in a dual....imagine that....
Tell you son good luck....and to win and lose like a champion....just a shot of my boy back in the day..
