what is Earls List and where is located under what -Keep hearing different people bring up the name.---------

It is a roller pigeon site that many are members. It is probably the "grand daddy" roller list. You kinda have to be sponsored. It gives you no more value then this site and in many ways this site is better. A lot of the people on this site are also members on Earls.

It is a group on yahoo! Messages are sent/received by email to and from the group vs a message board format like is here. It is perhaps a bit less novice oriented than this site.

It's not for me!I dont like it,it fills up your inbox with alot of emails if u dont stay on top of it!!any body no how to get off that list????this is better at least to me :)

There is a feature you can click on to stop
or slow down the emails.
This site is structured a whole lot better.

Several years back, several roller guys were active on a PML Pigeon mail list or something like that, mostly Homer fancy guys. One Roller guy named Earl Allen (I think) took the bull by the horns and set up a list more appropriate and more involved in the Roller fancy. It took off and thrived. Earl had some very unfortunate things happen in his life, I think, his wife died and left him to raise their children. His world changed over night and with it, his desire/time to continue with his list. Earl contacted Jim Petersen, or somehow they agreed that Jim would continue to moderate and oversee "Earl's List."
Other lists have come and gone but Earl's list has stood the test of time. It is more loosely moderated but is very similar to RPDC in scope and fellowship. Tony has a good mix of topics and is a favorite among many Roller enthusiasts. This is a good list, to have the privilege, to be part of.
