hey Joe

thanks Bud, It has been a long road which looks to have no end. What took me the longest was figuring out that getting to many diffrent families is not the way to go..... I tried so many just to keep the ones i bought back in 2000. Good thing i was able to keep it going i cut it to close playing with all them birds. If i wouldnt have made the move and worked with my family of birds i could have lost it all. That old hen SBW-31-96 is behind all my birds in just 2 years she almost got wasted for chasing names of diffrent flyers.

It can happen quick Sal. The man doesnt make the birds. Remember that. The birds are what makes the man. IN less that a year a man can loose the quality but if he chooses to follow the birds and breed the path they are leading him they will always make him proud. Joe

Gabe,

Well what more can i say but that they are Birmingham Rollers lol. All jokes aside!! I bought my original birds of a guy named Mike Nolinfar at the time i didn't know what family of birds i was buying all i knew was that the guy flew good birds. I asked Mike a few times what family they came off of but he would always say dont worrie about it just bred and fly the young. The only way i found out was on a fly day Ken Firl came over started asking me who i got my birds from when i told him from Mike Nolinfar he told me what Mike had used to make his birds which are Sammy Williams and Kenny Billings birds. I know my birds are leaning more toward's the Sammy birds because my foundation pair are pure Sammy birds but as far as the other birds i used they could be crosses of the two. The only thing that might make almost all of my birds more Sammy Williams is the fact that all the mike nolinfar birds i used are red checks and Kenny's birds are all dark checks. I used 3 cock bird to one hen to make my family of birds. I just got a half brother to my foundation hen to add in the mix 75% of my matings are uncles ,aunts on nifews and nieces 5% fathers on daughters 5% half brother sister 10% cuzins 5% grandkids on grand parents. You can see where i get better results.

My birds are what they are i dont have no peds on my originals i just know where they come from. i started my own ped off the originals thats what counts in my book. Iam up to the fourth generation on some of my matings. My foundation cock is a second generation bird. The birds of the past dont do me no good it were i go with the ones i got that make me or break me. Look up in some of the old records Sammy was in the top 10 more then once in the world cup.
