Yes, I know of it. It is also marketed as Flagyl I believe. Why are you using it?

It's called "fishzole" and can be used for canker. Year ago I used it but decided I would cull parents and young. All birds have some form of parasites but eliminating the weak was the best thing I came up with.

I know a few guys that use it with their racing homers. I personally don't know much about it though.

It just strikes me odd that you would use a medication on your birds without knowing what the medicine is, its side effects or what condition you're treating for. Thats why I asked "why are you using it?"
It is a medicine used to treat canker in pigeons. If you have canker it will be an effective treatment, just follow the prescribed dosage and duration. If you dont have canker then why are you giving it to your birds? It is counter-productive to medicate with out justification. The best preventative medicine is promoting good health, supplementing with vitamins and minerals, feeding healthy diets, cleanliness, etc etc. Not to give drugs unnecessarily.

last year i move and i only could bring my flyers whith me and i left my breeders to an old man so he could get some youngs out of them..but all the young where dying before one month...he told me that at the end of the season and i was ready to get them back so people told me that they had Canker or Salmonelle so my vet told me about that product and i went on internet to see the side effects ,i didnt want raise some young and loose them in early age this year,im very clean my self and my birds have the best food and everything .......Mario

I have used this product on and off for years for canker works great. i cut tablet in half and give to each bird individually . If i bring a bird in to my loft i treat it . Or i no my young birds are infected will treat all young for a month or two. Works for me
