I recently got 2 pairs of FORs to play with. I think they`ll be a lot of fun. Been doing a little research on them and they only fly in kits of 3-5. I wont have to raise a bunch, thats cool. They also like to fly in the wind. I get a LOT of wind here, its been my biggest enemy flying and raising BR`s

The flying comps are usally 3-7 birds, but they'll fly and perform in bigger groups. Most just won't kit as tight as good birms. They are stronger fliers than birms and,yes they LOVE the wind. I see you have Fehrholz birds, they're very high fliers and usally put on the best show on the way back down from pinned out.

I have been told to breed smaller birds. The larger birds were bred for show.I guess its similar to BR`s. The larger birds simply cant do what is required to roll properly.
I cant wait!!!

I had some as a teen. Compared to the Birminghams, the ones I had were glorified tumblers at best but performed in a few different ways. They were scrappy birds too and loved to fight...lol

Kenny,
I got some Orientals a couple of years ago. My problem is that I only have a small window of time after work to fly birds. The Birminghams always get first opportunity. I never got enough fly time on the Orientals to have them develop.
Have fun with them.

Our average wind speed is 13mph. When I cant fly BR`s I will fly the FOR`s.
