A couple questions: Would this dog bowl make a good nest bowl? Does it need to be modified in any way?

John...I use those kind. I just drill afew 1/4 holes in the bottom and some around the side for AIR ventilation and put a nest pad on the bottom.

Ive also used cat litter in these types of bowls. It absorbs moisture from the droppings and is inexpensive so I dont mind throwing it out with each new batch. I provide pine needles as nesting materials but allow the birds to build their ownnest with them. ----------
