Would someone who is Flying in a Fly Competition have a advantage or disadvantage in a Fly if the Judge just happens to be his Mentor and also was the one who gave him his Birds ??
What do you Guys think ?????

Yes, the guy should win by no less than 1000 points, 2.0 multipliers for quality and depth, the mentor should also disqualify all other flyers and name his protege to the NBRC hall of fame, declare him a master flyer and appoint him head of the NBRC and World Cup Committee. ---------- FLY ON! George,
If the judge is honest and judges the birds and nothing else. If the birds do the job then there should be no question.
Mort Emami judged our region some years back and I won 1st and 2nd for the region...but he judged the birds and not the flier....nobody said one word or complained.....the judge did a good job....but trust me...if the judge goes sidways...everyone will grumble....
I mean I have had Scott Campbell judge my birds in comp....Chuck Roe...Dwight Wallace...Joe Urbon...Ken Firl.......those are all mentors to me and they always judged the birds

I don't think so George. I was judged by one of my mentors last year and Don Simpson had my butt kicked until he DQ'd. If not he would have had the region ! ---------- Ty Vapor Trail Lofts

Thanks for posting the scores. As everyone can see these are 11 bird scores and all the judge does is count the birds that roll correctly. The judges bias , if he has any , is lessened to the extent , there are no multipliers given. These are a great bunch of guys and I was honored to have been invited to evaluate their kits. All these flyers are winners in my book. Good luck in the finals, guys. Cliff
PS Actually, Wendall Carter was the judge one year that Ty won the region.
