Due to an overabundance of invective, the Birmingham Roller Talk link was shut down for 12 hours in order for everyone to cool our heels.
Roller-Pigeon.Com supports the energetic and constructive discussion, but inuendo, rudeness and attack mode is not.
There is a quote I like that states “seek first to understand, then to be understood”. This might be a good idea to ponder what this means at this time.
There are many good points being made by both sides of several threads and the motivations and genuiness for some seem questionable.
In our search for "truth" let's keep postings civil and respectful. I for one am taking in some of the arguments and have some questions myself on the logic and terms being used to back up positions.
I appreciate everyone’s point of view as everyone is entitled to one. Let’s make our comments less “personal and accusatory” so we can go back to the respectful discussions which I know we all desire and are accustomed to.
Your understanding for this decision is appreciated.

Good idea shutting it down for a while but I didn't even notice it was shut down and I'm a regular.
When people start getting their feelings hurt and others start sating, "I'll never forgive you" that's going too far and the moderator needs to take action.

Alan, I think you must have a link direct to the page as this would be a flank maneuver on what I did and would have gotten you through the shut down.
Like I said on another thread, I hope that men will act like men and measure their words and statements more carefully. My mistake was hoping for the best from the posters that they would correct themselves.
