Bath Salt use to kill internal parasites(lice, mites, etc..). I am not sure about bath salt as I use Permectrin II in bath pan and it works for me. My birds are free of lice mites. You need to make sure breeders and flyers are free of internal parasites as they are not good for birds. Red mites are the worst as they suck blood. Hope that helps. Thanks, -Rauf

Saddiqir and Chalo,
Bath Salt is for external parasite only. Red mites are external also but don't live on the birds. Worms are internal parasites. It does work on keeping the external parasites controlled. Red Mites don't live on the birds, they hide in loft cracks and come out at night and suck blood from the birds legs. If you see the birds kind dancing on the birch at night, that is because the red mites are bothering them. You need to give your birds a bath once a week using the salt to keep the parasites controlled. Use Saven Dust to control the Red mites.
