Anyone know if human eyes are vulnerable to damage from looking up at the birds flying .
I have noticed that my vision is not as sharp as it was before I started flying birds .
I wear sunglasses when looking at the birds fly sometimes but not always they are the regular ones (not expensive).
Can anyone suggest any kind of eyewear that can protect my eyes when Im loking at the birds fly and where to buy the sun glasses .
Thanks George Ruiz

George I believe that any one staring up in the UVs of the sky should always wear sunglasses, just like protecting your skin from the UVs with sunblock. Some folks will be effected by it more than others. Sunglasses of any kind are better than nothing at all. Polarized versions are good for intense lighting while a non-polarized is good for blue bird skies. On cloudy days I use a deep amber polarized which is super comfortable on the eyes and makes nice siloettes of the birds. On blue sky days I use non polarized and only slightly tinted. If you feel you are having problems with the sky and watching your birds, try flying earlier in the morning. And never look into the sun, if your birds were flying there you wouldn't see them no matter what you were wearing. Also, if you fly between say 9 and 3, especially during the winter soltice, find a place in the yard where you can stand in the shade and use a structure or tree to block the sun. It makes watching the bird much more enjoyable. Brian.
