hi, i have a bird that has a swollen cheek. It looks like white ball of puss at first dries up then fall's off. then starts up again only problem - it's now covering its eye.Is this skin canker? or pox? what do i use to treat it?

Sounds like pox to me, but could be something else, the other being canker. Canker is more of a cheesy yellow color and seldom actually pushes through the skin. Pox can be either whitish or yellowish or anywhere inbetween. You can by Indian Ink which you put on it a few times a day to dry it out. An old game cock trick is to add some Creme of Tartar to the water. You can find it down at the grocery store where the spices are. It will dry them out pretty quick. It was once an old time remedy for Chicken Pox on children from what I was told. Good luck.
