Cliff / all think of what it takes to do these schedule's , many areas you don't know who qaulified due to regions still flying or where judges need to go in regions.
And all of this info rolls in at the last minute and you are trying to put it all together.
Cliff if you and those that are "heated" spent a little time on the front lines trust me you would be more understanding.
This stuff doesn't happen by itself and anyone that has been around this a while knows that the schedules are "tenitive" and adjustments are made as needed , there is no other way due to regions still aren't done flying the qaulifiers and the finals judge is allready on the road, the schedule is a moving target that has to be dialed in as it goes.
Scott

PS Why on earth would they be they be emailing you looking for answers ?? makes no sence
And why would you even suggest this .... (Please tell me that it wasn't done to acccomaodate someone's personal request!)

I think if there are problems or concerns they should be addressed to the RD and then the RD can take it to the committee. Like Kevin already stated, this will be Ron's last year at running the WC. Cliff, if you are interested in it then you should go for it. We need guys with your kind of energy and passion.

Kevin, Scott,
Sorry, Kevin. The schedule was, indeed, changed. Somebody is covering their butt. But, no matter, I won't argue the point. I am certain that there are good reasons for the changes. But the flyers, especially the finalists, should not have to find out about it through the grapevine. Agreed? Had it been communicated on the lists, especially to the RDs through the WC Committee List, then the RDs could answer the justifiable questions posed by the flyers. There were a number of concerns expressed accross the country as to why the whole schedule was moved up a month. Again, there were probably good reasons. But a simple article in the NBRC bulletin and communication through the lists (WC Committee list especially) would have nipped that one in the bud, too. I really am trying to help, here, Kevin, and sometimes that looks like I'm being a pain in the ass for pointing things out. I'll get my shot at it at the end of the month as our region's WC RD and as National Fly Director for the Fall Fly. I appreciate your input.
Scott, the guys contact me because they know that I will be replacing Wendall as RD at the end of the month and I have worked hand-in-hand with him all year to coordinate this fly. They seem to think that, somehow, I can dig up the answeres for them. Why did I make the statement about flyer's concerns about accomodating certain individuals? Well that is the kind of things that start running through guy's minds when there is poor communication from the powers that be. I mean, after all, we have seen WC regions skillfully re-arranged to suit the needs of some at the detriment of others, and fly rules changed without the input of the flyers, so the concern is a logical one. But let's not go there while the fly is in progress. I recognize the monumental task of coordinating the fly and the schedule. And my hat's off to the men who has brought us this far. We've come a long way. But there is still work to do. It can be better.
Kenny, I agree with you 100% about being a prolem-solver. But in order to solve a problem, someone has to be willing to acknowledge that one exists. As Fall Fly Director, if you see a problem, whatever its nature, I want to hear about it! (As long as you bring me a couple solutions along with it! LOL!)
YITS,
Cliff

Cliff it is up to the RDs to find out when the finals judge is judging that particular region.
It is a team effort here and the GC can't be expected to do it all as it is to overwhelming.
If there is poor communication I suggest you look in your own backyard and quit blaming everyone else
As usual you are trying to throw a negative light on the W/C with bullshit that you know little or nothing about.
It is all about stirring up rift and turmoil with rumors of conspiracys for you ,you see and hone in on nothing but negatives.

Kenny, moving it back a month helps us out also but it also screwed many other regions due to many are just coming out of lock down due to preds and harsher Winters than your area or my own experiance and many were forced to fly at the peak of migration , it was a bad move that will probably be fixed next year.

Cliff, once again you DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT!!!!. EVERYONE ON THE W/C COMITTEE LIST KNOWS WHO WAS BEHIND THE FINALS SCHEDULE BEING MOVED UP. Also go to the w/c website and you will see the finals schedule and it is the same one that has been on there since the two regions canceled over two weeks ago. No one is covering up anything. Its also funny how you agree with kenny but I have yet to see you do anything positive for the w/c?????? Once again put your name in for the GC and all problems will be solved......Kevin

Cliff, Assistance?????????? You asked why the schedule was changed at the last minute. I was not aware that it was. I checked on it and talked to Dennis Hayes and he said that it had not been touched since the last ajustment because of the two regions dropping. that was a few weeks ago before you flew the qualifier. Also at that time Ron posted on the committee list that it was the final schedule. Then you told me it bs and someone was covering their butt. YOU WERE WRONG!!!!!!!! AGAIN I HAVE YET TO SEE YOU DO ANYTHING POSITIVE OR SAY ANYTHING POSITIVE ABOUT THE W/C. AGAIN THE GC JOB IS OPEN PUT YOUR NAME IN AND FIX ALL THE PROBLEMS.

Kevin, I was responding to questions posed by Clay and Joe Bob, and some others in my region about the schedule change. There is no question that it changed, only a matter of when, I guess, and they wanted to know why. I was out of the loop and just trying to help them find answers to their questions. I was also not privy to the WC Committee List, so I have no idea what was posted there. Wendall, our RD, could provide no answers, either, so I went to you guys. You were right and they were wrong about whether the schedule said only one qualifier. The schedule says, one day for judging. They apparrently and incorrectly assumed that two qualifiers get two days for judging. We have a problem, now, trying to get them both judged in the same day and get the judge off to Virgina too, all on the same day. Don't worry, we'll work something out. Cliff

Cliff, you sure did make alot of acusations for only having second hand info. How far does Joe Bob and Clay live apart? Also I know for a fact that Ron asked where the judge should fly into and out of to each RD. Also if they do live far apart from each other and it is not doable in one day. wendell should have told Ron the day you knew who the qualifiers were. My opinion is that you were pointing fingers in the wrong direction. Kevin
