Hey Jim Nice birbs but I noticed that they say half Mason birds, Do you have real Mason birds. How are these birds do they fly real good. Do they roll with great frequency. Mason birds are all I have I will try to post some this weekend. My birds can explode into Ragin Rollers hence the name.

Mason birds do have problems(but all birds have problems) that's why many people cross them. The story goes that George Mason lives next to a river or dam and just as water attract a gholf ball it seems to do the same to the birds.(so his famely has develep over the jears next to the water maby thats is the reason with the fly problems) I also have a friend that flies them clean but he believes they have fast metabolisms and feeds them every 12 hours

Jim, thats weird because sometimes it seems that my birds like to fly over the freeway it seems to attract them, But I seem to have more problems breaking them down. I think they perform better when they are feed up but they fly to high and long. Any ideas?

I will suggest to feed the 50% weed,50% mapples, with 20% sunflower. If you prepare for a competition shock them with something they are not use to (something they never had before). You cant do this everytime because they do get use to it eg, my birds never get green peas I shock them with this once in a while. Feed a bird just green peas and see how wet the droppings is. It almost seems that it upsets their stomachs.

topnotch uk,
Why do you uk folks always have some negative stuff to say about are birds?(the rest are just hear-say birds i no mason birds in side out all my Mason birds are direct). Why don't you call George and ask him about Al Luna And Joey Canteloupe!Ask him if Al had some birds direct from him!Now you still think you know george mason birds inside and out?Dont think so.

Please don't tar all UK guys with the same brush. I have many birds directly from George, but I wouldn't dream of saying that people in other countries didn't have the same. George has been a prolific exporter of his strain and I've talked to people in South Africa, Australia and the US who have his birds.

Once the original imported birds are bred from, over time they might well start to look different according to the direction the breeder has taken.
