Good evening Keith...
When I get that kit of birds from you, definitely make sure that you give me a clutch (round) out of each one of the outstanding pairs listed below:
1) Weapon cock on 244
2) Certified on Weapon Hen
3) J. Smith cock on Sugar

Marcus,
Those are some tough young to get your hands on. Plus 244 and the Certified are at my house. And I'm sure if we mate these back up again that they will only be flown by Keith, I or my brother Dave, actually Dave would just stock them. ---------- Efren Lopez SGVS

Marcus, 1094 on sugar is one of my best pairs. There is a line for them, plus I need at least one in every kit to start with. Most will make it to the first kit the second season. I can't make the other pairs because Efren has the other halves of the other pairs.

I've been all across California and I've discovered that it's much harder to get good birds in Northern California than it is in Southern California.
Like I stated before, the Southern California region probably has more breeders, trainers and flyers of Birmingham Roller pigeons than any other region on this planet.
Southern California in my opinion would be a magnificently marvelous place for me to pick up some good birds to add to the Deep Spin family of rolling pigeons.
....so
There it is.

Marcus,
have you been to Scott Cambell's? Have you been to Joe Emberton's? Have you been to Joe Urbon's? Have you been to Don Oullete's or Ramsey Aljouni's?
I have spent time with these guys and judged all of them over the last few years and have been to more than 20 major flies and more than 50 local flies over the last few years and I have never seen you at any of these flies.
Please explain because those of us that have been flying here in Norcal for years disagee with you.
Sincerely,
Ken Firl

Good morning Ken...
I've been to Don Oullettes place in Morgan Hill... or I think it was it was Gilroy in Santa Clara County about 3 years ago.
I recall a long winding road off deep in a rural community. I found Don's address on the Internet and stopped by his place unannounced.
If I can recall.... I was staying in Belmont, California on a 3 day vacation with the wife and really wanted to meet Don and check out his birds being he has a similar family to my birds.
His neighbor was nice and stated Don had a trucking business with his brother. I think something about Oregon popped up in our brief conversation..
....well anyway
I truly missed a unique opportunity to actually meet Mr. Oullette.....and to think I was looking at his birds through a hole in the fence.
Ahhh the flabbergastness!!!
I will work vigorously day and night.... night and day.... rain or shine or hail or snow at this roller game.... until I too shall be known as one of the "All-Time Greats"!

This is actualy a good thread , like I have said a thousand times, if I believed even half of everything I heard and read I might as well kill everything on the property, but I know better. Good luck guys, all I know is talking BS before a fly is bad bad JU JU as there isn't a kit out there that doesn't have the capability to make you look like a Bozo come fly day.
("The bottom line is, knowone wants to take the time to cultivate their own strain, most don't know how, so they get rid of all their birds and buy a whole nother family,as if they didn't have not one quality bird before (Kieth London 2008)." That is the bottom line!!!! )
Good stuff here !!!!!!!! ---------- Just my Opinion Scott

So now.... to sum this all up would it be fair to say that both #1220 and #0016 were champion rolling pigeons?
I have never seen either one of them fly.
....however
Based upon the historical reincarnation of these birds tremendous aerial acrobatic skills I can only assume they were both champions in the air.

Keith, Are your birds and Ables related. I'm wondering if Abel used the 1220 stuff in making his birds? KGB

Marcus, I have always said that if the birds we as breeders dont have what we are looking for in a quality roller why would you bring another quality family in to cross with it. If they dont have it junk them and get some that do. You will save yourself alot of time, effort and feed.
