You are right Norman , no one hits it all of the time , thats a given,to think it is easy is silly , as for yellows and crests or anything else for that matter that produces 50 0/0 roll downs go for it ,so how are the birds ?

I will always believe if a Person has to rely on Luck only they will LOSE 99.9% of the time.
As Trainers and Breeders of the Birds we should start thinking about making good birds as soon as you mate the Birds up.
I dont think that any one that has had success in major Flys , just put any two Birds together and said "WELL I HOPE I GET LUCKY AND PRODUCE SOME GOOD BIRDS".
from me listening and Talking to several breeders they
ALWAYS mate there Birds up with the INTENTION of making some sound SPINNERS.
does it always work NO , but they never just mate Birds up and say "WELL WITH SOME LUCK I WILL MAKE SOME GOOD BIRDS AND BE ABLE TO HAVE A CHANCE IN SOME MAJOR COMP. FLYS .
LUCK plays a small part but not that big of a deal , I would say The only LUCK any Flyer would probably need is "CLEAR SKYS" no Air Sharks and the rest is up to the Birds and the "KEEP"

Well George,you saw what happend to our F/F
Every member of the SGVS was hit by Sky Sharks,so luck is not as small a part like you think,we have Falcons all year long now so you have to be lucky that on fly day you dont get hit.
Even in the summer we get hit at least 3 days a week,so its like playing roulett,and thats all on luck.

I agree , its getting worse every year in about 5 years we wont be able to fly Pigeons any more .
I will then spend my extra time FISHING.

This year i had 2 months without a Falcon,after that its been almost every day.
