Okay George,
I re-read your post... You didn't actually say anything about Pensom. But I take it that you don't think that I have any business contridicting Scott because nhe is a MASTER FLYER....

Okay,
Nothing has been said of some breeders who Pensom got the basis of many his birds from. They were Bill Richards, Harry Bellfield, Elija Tomkins, Ben Homer and J. Thompson of Harborne... Pensom gave credit to all of these men and thought highly of them.

That's one thing I like about reading of Pensom he always gave credit to where its due.

There was a APJ article in 1967 by allen Johnson who was a friend of J. Leroy Smith. He interveiwed J. Leroy Smith for the article. Johnson said "Roy follows the principles set down by Bill Pensom to the lettr in his sevral texts, and of course has had the oportunity to observe Mr, Pensom while he lived with Roy for the better part of a year. Roy is continualy citing some almost magical insight Mr. Pensom has with the roller."
So Smith was the student and Pensom was the teacher,

Let me think anout it... Thanks for the offer...
Las Vegas is a long way to go.... Plus a roller is a roller... Muffs just have a few feathers on their feet.. that's the only difference.

I don't doubt that statement one bit but.. I would bet the roles changes to were Smith was the teacher and Pensom was the learner...it goes both ways.
Just because your article you have said that Smith or.."Roy follows the principles set down by Bill Pensom to the letter in his sevral texts" ....Blowhard what are the list of the principles that he learned from Pensom? The basic of the Burmingham breed... Maybe...The Burmingham were new to LeRoy but... art of breeding....was not.

thanks for your comment john,lost a few good birds in 07 with the illness, lost some good stock so just trying to get some more, also bop in 08,with regards your comments on uk site i come on this site to get ideas and peoples thoughts this is what ours should be like, anyway pc up and running now so will be on the site answering and posting.
